KRASP Sessions Attended by the Rector of GMU
On 8 and 9 June 2026, the University of Rzeszów is hosting sessions of the Presidium and the Plenary Assembly of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP). The meetings are being attended by the Rector of Gdynia Maritime University, Professor Adam Weintrit. This year’s sessions carry particular significance, as they take place during the 25th anniversary year of the University of Rzeszów.
The first part of the KRASP Presidium meeting was devoted to organisational matters and a review of the Conference’s activities in 2025. The Presidium reviewed a report on KRASP’s operations and an assessment of its performance. The Audit Committee highly praised the Conference's work over the past year, emphasising its vital role in representing the academic community.
The agenda also covered KRASP’s communications policy and public image, presented by the Conference’s press spokesperson, Wojciech Dąbrówka. Participants also discussed the schedule of key events and initiatives planned for the coming months.
The second part of the session focused on international cooperation and the future of European higher education. Key contributors to the discussion included Professor Josep M. Garrell, President of the European University Association (EUA); Professor Marcin Pałys, Vice-President of the EUA; and Michał Goszczyński, Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
